Powerful Suggestions For Creating Strong Web Content

November 17th, 2009

Web content refers to any kind of digital files that can be published on the Internet. It includes text files, video, images, graphics, and sound. Web content is not only about text; creating web content that works is a complex process that involves using surveys, links, SEO techniques, search boxes, embedded forms, subscription services, etc.

For developing a powerful web strategy is necessary to use CRP. CRP represents a project management-style foundational document, which is used to maintain and organize web content development, measurement and design.

Start by establishing targets. What is the purpose of your website? What are you offering? Is it about selling products or information? Be realistic and set clear objectives, according to your possibilities.

Learn more about the targeted audience. In order to meet the expectations of your clients, it’s necessary to know more about them. Try to find out more about their jobs, preferences, income, lifestyle, favorite products, etc.

Think about the functionality of your website. Keep in mind that it must be easy to use, organized and informative. Create relevant content and establish some quality standards. You must earn the loyalty of your customers, in order to have a successful online business.

Make an evaluation of the content. You must establish not only the website objectives, but also a strategy to achieve them. Include an inventory to describe what are the objectives, the type of  each objective and a short description, who will be responsible for developing objectives,  etc.

High quality web content management and development is based on technical data analysis, creative web design and functionality and involves six elements and six processes. It is based on the  characteristics and qualities of the online environment and the experiences of individual  users.

Most people don’t read web pages entirely; therefore, you must choose relevant keywords for your activity. Underline anything that is relevant and opt for practical solutions. Use bullet lists and highlight the most important expression and phrases.

Increase the credibility of your website by placing links to legitimate sources. Credibility is extremely important for those who use the Internet and can be built by using  links to other sources, quality design, and full transparency, properly upgraded and  understandable content.

The key to a successful website is quality content. Your visitors must enjoy reading a web page. Provide unique content, in order to generate word-of-mouth advertising.

Use a friendly tone and provide valuable content. The information is aimed to help your visitors, keeping them interested in your website. Creating web content must be done from a unique perspective, in a neutral or personal style. Your website success depends only on you.

You will want people to be able to find the quality content on your site.  Build your traffic by gathering external links using article marketing strategies.

Use An Article Directory To Get Good Exposure

Using an article directory to market your articles is a great way to get backlinks and additionally market your brand and image. One really negative thing you do not want to do is to send out a bunch of poorly written articles, or junk that does not make sense but links to your site.  This usually backfires in the long run, and makes anyone reading it far far less likely to ever click on the link and visit your site.No clickthu leads to no conversions for anything you might be trying to accomplish.

Make sure you write and submit a quality article, because most article directories have manual screening methods to filter out junk that is not up to speed.  This keeps out a ton of junk and spam – and probably your article too, if you do not do a good job in the writing department.  Keep in mind the target audience for your article for each article directory and it will help you write it in the best manner.

You should have 5-7 article directories in mind for every article you write.  In addition, if you get some software to assist you, you can spin each article into maybe 10 individual articles that are uniquely different and get more mileage out of each article.  Basically “spinning” allows a computer to substitute sentences on output so it might have an A, a B and a C choice for each sentence. It will mix and match sentences randomly based upon the choices it has when you set it up.

The more articles you write, the more backlinks you will get to your site.  In addition, the quality article directories will have decent page rankings which is always a big help in and of itself.  Some article directories are a hub for others looking for content for their sites, so you get additional mileage here as well.

Methods to Get Traffic To Your Site

May 22nd, 2009

No matter how good a writer you are, or how creative your site is, without any traffic it does not matter.Fancy graphics and flash do not matter if no one actually comes to your website to view them.  Traffic is always the end game for anyone trying to publish ads or sell anything on the web.  It seems like its a mystery to most, as most products sold on the web focuses on content, PPC (which is not bad, but also very hard to get right), or management products to help with productivity.  Very few actually work on where the heck you get traffic from.

The number one source of free traffic will come from natural search engine ranking, and the consistency is hard to beat.  Why?  Once you build your site up on a few keywords that get decent search volume, this traffic will be consistent.  PPC or other methods are fine, but are also subject to other risks that must be managed.  Basically you need links and content - this is the key to getting higher rankings on Google.

One way to get links is through  submitting niche articles related to your site to an article directory.  Once you decide on what type of site you want to build to either sell stuff OR just do adsense revenue, its a good idea to write at least 20 articles (300-500 words).Make sure you have signed up for an Adsense and Adwords account before you write any articles, even if you have no plans to use them.Google has several great free tools for doing keyword research.  You don’t need to spend days researching keywords BUT you really need to pick 3 or 4 keywords to focus on for your articles that get decent traffic in the search engines and are related to your topic.  Another tool you can use that is free is PPC Web Spy (just google it) – it allows you to see what keywords people are bidding on for their PPC ads on Google – again, they have probably done extensive work since they are paying for the ad clicks – no reason you cannot just benefit from their work and use some of those keywords.

Once you have done this, make sure you write at least 5 articles using 2 of the researched keywords as links to your site.  Do not try to tackle too many keywords at once - you need about 200-300 links realistically for each keyword to move up - depending on how popular they are it may take more.  This is where any article directory comes in handy.  You can submit your article which is then redistributed for you to others looking for content.  This makes getting links much easier and faster, but does take a bit of time for it to propagate.  In addition, you may want a tool to help rewrite your articles so that many different versions are distributed to thousands of sites.  This is a key to quicker ranking on the engines as the same thing distributed over and over just does not do the trick.

In addition to article writing, you will want to submit your site linnk to all the major social networks like Digg, Facebook, StubleUpon, MySpace, and others.  The more the better. You will need to create an account at all of them - this can be time consuming but only needs to be done once. You can do a search on Google or other engines for a list of the major ones.Once this is done, you can also use tools to automate posting to all of your accounts at once which saves a huge amount of time.

Most stuff you want to do on the web can be found for free, but the key is free vs time saved by paying for tools to help automate stuff.I usually opt for the time saving tools - in the long haul its really worth it as you can accomplish so much more. There is always a trade off of time saved vs paying for this saved time. Some things I accomplish with completely free tools, others I pay a monthly fee to use because of the amount of time saved so I can get more done.

Of course there is more than these 2 steps - but if these 2 are only done you should start seeing results in about a month.  Longer term, even once you get ranking, you need a plan to continually feed articles to directories – not as often as the beginning, but you really want to do at least 1 per month per keyword to keep fresh links coming into the search engines.Over longer periods of time, the existing links that get distributed disappear as sites go offline or content is replaced.  Once you get a stable of articles written, often you can just do a complete rewrite of an older article and then submit that again - its often faster than rewriting a new article.

Web Content Gets You Organic Visitors

February 3rd, 2009

There is no longer any question about the fact that web content is considered to be one of the most important elements in successful search engine optimization. It is primarily the content on a given website that attracts the attention of search engines, which provide the valuable, high search engine rankings, yet also keeps visitors exploring and coming back to a website.

While virtually all search engine optimization (SEO) experts now agree about the importance of content in order to attract the attention of internet surfers and the search engines, not all of these experts agree about what constitutes “good” website content. There are those who suggest that simply having loads of free website content such as PLR articles will be sufficient to attract the attention of the search engines, especially if the content is rich in keywords that are geared toward the topic of the site.

At the same time, any web content advisor who is experienced and ethical will quickly point out that the most important factor is the quality of the content. True, search engine algorithms might end up giving a high ranking to a site that has a plethora or keyword phrases stuffed on its pages, but when a human visitor arrives at such a site they are not fooled for a moment.

A good content writer knows that to succeed in traffic building they need to keep the attention of the human beings who are visiting a website, there must be good quality content that provides the visitor with the information that they are looking for. There is a standard formula that good copywriters use to help ensure that what they are writing for the website will do the job of keeping visitors on the site, exploring it fully, and encouraging them to come back.

The formula is summed up in a four-letter anagram: AIDA. This anagram stands for the four most critical elements of good website content that every content writer should keep in mind. These elements are: Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. To a new website owner looking to craft an introductory page to their website, this formula might seem intimidating.

But, if the web content writer will keep these four points in mind, while also remembering to keep the topic in mind at all times, the whole process can become rather automated and will flow easily. Gaining the attention of the website visitor can be as simple as crafting a good headline or an opening paragraph that speaks to their need or that sparks their curiosity.

Building curiosity can also lead directly into the second part of the formula, interest. Typically, website visitors are looking to gather information to enhance their lives or to solve a problem. Provide information that fuels that interest and they will continue reading further to gain information. If you have a solution to their problem, then build their desire to learn about that solution by explaining how it has helped others with similar problems.

Finally, good web content will encourage the reader to take action. A content writer must be writing with a clear idea about what action they want a website visitor to take. This is often referred to as a call to action and it can be something as simple as encouraging them to sign up for a newsletter that provides even more information, or that asks them to make a purchase.

If you own an internet retail store or a webpage then you know how important web content is for your business. The content that you display on your website can make or break your business. You have to know where to turn to for the right advertisements, the right links and even the right information. It can be very confusing at first but if you stick with it, you can make your webpage a true success. Even if you are not selling anything but instead providing information, you need to know the basics about the right content.
