What To Remember When Autoblogging RSS Feeds

July 2nd, 2011

RSS or Rich Site Summary is used to distribute web content that changes at a regular basis. People who want to get content, such as news and blogs, regularly can do so through RSS feeds. It saves them a lot of time since they do not have to check each website one by one. It is also ideal for individuals who do not want to impart their information just to sign up to newsletters. Fortunately, more websites have realized the importance of RSS feeds to cater to the needs of their clients. Nowadays, more and more websites are offering RSS feeds. Bloggers also make use of RSS feeds to update their blogs. It is not so easy to be a blogger, and it is not easy to make blogs. A blogger who intends to produce relevant, interesting, up-to-date, and quality content needs to spend time and a lot of effort to produce blogs that will catch the attention of readers. These are the blogs that get reviews and result into high traffic for a certain site. Some bloggers maintain so many blog sites. If they feed their blogs to each site one by one, it will take them hours to finish. Thus, they rely on RSS feeds. Autoblogging RSS feeds save bloggers a lot of time and effort. There is one problem with autoblogging RSS feeds though. Some bloggers rely on autoblogging too much that they forget to create quality content. Autoblogging can be very successful if a blogger does his or her part too. The content of the blog should still be entertaining and one that attracts the attention of readers. This is the first step in successful blogging. Only then can a blogger rely on autoblogging RSS feeds when he or she has created quality content. Autoblogging RSS feeds can make anyone successful. It is indeed convenient to autoblog RSS feeds, but it would be worthless if the readership goes down or search engines no longer bring traffic. These are signs that a blogger or marketer has been overusing his or her plug-ins without any regard to the quality of the blogs.

BREAKING NEWS: Attention all WordPress Bloggers

About me

Until recently I tested Internet Marketing software and methods and published the results on a number of blogs. On average I personally answer around six hundred questions about Internet Marketing through my blog every week. Naturally my work earns me a modest ’salary’ but I have a serious reason for doing what I do and this is to help people who are genuinely trying to earn money to support them selves and their dependents.

Disappointingly a significant number of Internet Marketing content and tools I evaluate doesn’t do what it says on the ‘tin’. Until recently the results of my testing have been published on a limited number of websites whose owners have commissioned me to contribute in return for assisting me in my evaluations.

Over Six hundred products tested

The total number of ‘products’ I have tested over five years is just north of 600, naturally I will only be writing about products that are still for sale. All of the products I review on my site have been or are currently being used by me.

Easy to use and organised catalog

To help you make the decisions that will work best for you I am going to organise the product summaries into a simple and easy to use directory and every product will be typed by the amount of  experience required, amount you can expect to pay, work and how soon you can expect to see results.

First Report – The ‘blueprint’ for WordPress blog success

WordPress Blogs are probably the simplest way to start in Internet Marketing so I am going to begin with a set of reviews of products that can turn these search engine magnets into income makers. Everyone should have a blog and I am passionate about blogging as a major percentage of my ’monthly salary’ comes from blogs but and however I am conscious that setting up a blog can be confusing so if you join my list I will show you step by step how to do this.

Create once and replicate

I will also share with you a ‘cut and paste’ strategy anyone can use with blogs so once you have built one blog and mastered the art of getting value from it then you just replicate it over and over again. I have a basic rule of ‘getting a rope across the river’ before commencing on any substantial amount of work so I always start with building a ’concept car’ that I evolve into a blueprint that I can test, refine and replicate, to do this you have to really understand what methods and tools you need to use.

No bullshit, just answers.

So if you own a WordPress blog or you need some practical and personal guidance with your purchases of Internet Marketing products then please do join my list at www.backlinksclinic.com.

See you there

History of Blogging – A Must Read!

June 18th, 2009

When discussing the history of blogging, we must first trace when and where the word was derived from. The history of blogging formally started when the term “weblog” was used by G. Raikundalia and M.Reese, two lecturers from Bond University, in the Gold Coast of Australia. It was during a conference on August 14, 1985 when the word was coined on a paper presented which is entitled “ Exploiting the World Wide Web for Electronic Meeting Document Analysis and Management” which discussed the utilization of an access on a web browser to different meeting manuscript information, for example, minutes, reports, tabled manuscripts and document catalogs.

Fascinatingly, the word itself as “weblog” has not been utilized on the residual records of the paper, which is currently being hosted at the website of the Charles Sturt University. However, the term was used on its appropriate context in a post at Usenet furthering the documents delivery at Bond which was published on August 6, 1995.

If we look at the history of blogging, the famous term “weblog” came from a person by the name of Jorn Barger of the weblog Robot Wisdom. This phenomenon dated back in December 1997.

The beginnings of contemporary blogging are often argued about as what web-blogging or simply blogging is.  To some people, blogs are being referred to as web pages or web sites with website design that offer links and remarks to other sites, and this is the foundation that contemporary blogs have emerged.

In January 1994, Justin Hall launched his site, Justin’s Home Page, which later developed to become links from the Underground. Justin’s Home Page consisted of reviews and links to other sites. Remarkably, Hall on January 10 of the year 1996 started writing an online journal with entries that are dated daily, however, each daily entry is connected by with an index page.. Some entries that he has posted included topics about his life and how his day went during that day.

In February 1996, Dave Winer has written a blog that recorded the 24 Hours of Democracy Project. On that very same year, Winer started a new website for the Frontier Software’s users. It has evolved into becoming Scripting News in the year 1997, which is considered to be one of the oldest blogs remaining in the World Wide Web today.

The history of blogging continued to flourish after Jorn Barger introduced the word weblog into famous use in December of year 1997. Blogging, as we are familiar with nowadays continued to evolve.

In the year 1998, a man by the name of Cameron Barett has published on Camworld the first ever listing of blogsites. It was during the year 1999 where blogging has gone through extensive development. It was also during this year where Pyra Labs, now owned by Google has inaugurated the Free Blogger blogging service which offered simple set of tools for almost anyone who wants to start blogging. Now today, blogging has evolved in becoming a great tool for SEO to promote web traffic by placing links in blogs.

Blogging has reached the point where its popularity is already taken advantage of by people to make money. Blogging for money has become one of the most famous online money making business around. Writers, both aspiring and published, uses this platform to earn money while doing what they love. Bloggers can write about anything they want. From personal experiences to unsolicited advice and from up-to-date news to political and social commentaries or about internet stuff like SEO, professional website design or web traffic, writers from all disciplines take advantage of this tool to get noticed and at the same time earn some money.

If blogging for money is what you want then here are some ways you can do to earn some cash:

1. Advertising – There are certain advertising programs that anyone can use to earn some extra cash. Some like adsense programs where ads are posted in your blog and you are paid for every clickmade by visitors of the site to the ad. Many writers who are blogging for money employ this technique because it is the easiest one to do.

2. Affiliate marketing – By enrolling in affiliate marketing programs and becoming an affiliate, you’ll get access to a database of products ready for marketing. You now have the option of posting a link that has been provided for you to your blog as an advertisement. When someone clicks on the link and buys a product, you will get around 25% to 75% commission on the product.

3. Sponsorship – Sponsorship is a direct advertising technique used by companies to attract niche markets. Companies pay a blogger to advertise their product. Some even asks for a write-up.

4. Being hired as a blogger – Companies now hire professional bloggers to write blogs about their company and on issues that concern their product and company.. They can also hire bloggers to make articles pertaining to an issue closely related to their product which is some sort of indirect selling. Also, there are bloggers hired to manage and keep company blogs up-to-date on what’s new to them.

5. Non-blogging writing duties – Popular bloggers get hire to write articles on companies and products outside of the blog environment. They are also asked to do reviews on products and get paid by doing so.

Just recently, a job opening was advertised that offered a huge amount for someone to become a caretaker of a place in Australia. All that person had to do was to stay there a couple of months and write a blog everyday about the conditions there. This is a very good example of how powerful and renowned blogging has become. Anyone can earn big money just by writing.

Do not be fooled though. Writing and sustaining blogs is not an easy task. There will be times when you will have a hard time of thinking of something to write. Blogging for money needs a lot of patience and discipline. Being successful in blogging does not come overnight!. It will take months or even years before you reach the level of other famous sites. All you need to do is to keep your blog up-to-date to keep the interest of your readers. Make your content easy to read, relatable and as diverse as you can and hope that it generates increasing traffic everyday.

How to Create Unique Content For Your Blog

June 18th, 2009
Comments Off

The common element to all blogs and websites which have become popular is that they provide well-written content which is useful, informative or entertaining. If you want your site to build a large and loyal audience, you have to keep people interested by giving them this kind of material – but this can take up a lot of your time; how do the popular sites do it? What do they know that you don’t?

The best way would be to provide the content yourself, and this is of utmost importance if your goal is to try to create traffic to an affiliated link. You’ll definitely want to sell the idea about the services and products beforehand. What that will do is set the stage or the “mood” and give your recommendations authenticity.

Creating content which covers the product or service along with your own personal opinion about its merits is a good way to lay the groundwork to make your readers more receptive to the idea of making a purchase. A particularly effective method is to use anecdotes drawn from your personal experience with the product.

The fact is that a lot of us just don’t have enough hours in the day to keep writing enough new content to keep our websites regularly updated. If you have this problem yourself, then you can examine using private label articles instead. These articles can be purchased and if you’d like to get the maximum use out of this material, you can split them into pieces and make a few articles out of one.

Another method many bloggers use is RSS feeds. While these can keep your site updated very easily, many bloggers and webmasters have not begun to use it since this uses content which is from other sites and therefore not unique – and readers can click on these links and navigate away from your site.

Writing your own content is unquestionably the best thing to do. You can get ideas for posts or articles from news sources – when you find an interesting story, you can write a piece summarizing the article. It takes some practice to produce compelling content from these outside sources, but with time you’ll be able to position yourself as a valuable news source to your readers. If you just don’t have the time or think your writing skills are not up to the task, then you can hire a writer or a writing service to handle producing your content for you. There are even blog services out there which specialize in writing new, unique content and posting it on your blog daily. You can specify the topics you want covered. Having professionally written, high quality content can bring you an increase in traffic (and if you’re an affiliate marketer, commissions) which will more than make up for the cost of the service.

These are the best ways to generate content for your blog. It is advisable not to be going with the automated path. If you do decide to do that, you will probably have plenty of content- but the substance of the text is unlikely to increase traffic for you. Putting in some good, old-fashioned content work will yield better results for you. As the expression goes- “you get out what you put in….”!!

During the years, Blogging have become very popular. If you search about a certain topic in any search engine, many of the search results will show you blogs written by different people. Some search engines even have a specific link devoted to blogs alone. But the question is, why did blogging become so popular among different types of people? What are their reasons for getting hooked on it? What are the benefits of blogging that these people look at?

For thoes who are interested in blogging for socialization, these are the benefits of blogging for them. They get to connect with their friends. They also get to connect with others who share the same interests with them. Social networks offer venues for blogging to make their subscribers’ accounts interesting. It is a service they give to account owners to help them keep their friends and contacts on coming back.

For those who are interested in blogging because they are interested in education and academics, here are the advantages. They get to present the results of their researches to other persons who are also in the know about their topics. They get to ask them for their comments and their suggestions that might help them improve their works, for example tips on SEO or website design. They also get to reach others who may benefit from their work.

For business owners, one of the benefits of blogging is they get to have a venue to promote their products. Especially those who are into newbie marketing. They can do this by creating their own blogs where they can present their products. Through their own blogs they can write about their promotional activities and gimmicks. They can also post product reviews and testimonies that will help them sell their products. They can even create their own e-shops for faster and direct selling. Other business owners do not create their own blogs but just buy ad spaces from other blogs related to their products. They sometimes opt to sponsor blogs where their products will be subtly mentioned. Others even pay other bloggers to post good product reviews.

Those who are into blogging, they can benefit from it by considering these concerns of busines owners. They can create blogs where they can earn from. Here are some of my useful tips on how you can do it.

First, create a blog. There are a lot of blogging platforms that give blog hosting services for free. They are easy to use so they are good for first time bloggers. All you need is an email address to sign up.

Second, once you have your own blog, think of a certain topic where you will focus on. This topic is your niche topic. Choose a topic that you are an expert with. Also consider a topic that is popular. Popular topics will get the attention of lots of advertisers and are bound to get heavy traffic for you. However, be warned that since they are popular topics, many are already writing about them. Your blog being a new one may be the last one to get noticed.

Third, post regularly. Remember that the more you post, the more views you will recieve. Advertisers prefer blogs that are frequently read because they get more exposure which could lead to more sales.

Lastly, connect with other bloggers. This is one way of promoting your blog.

Blogging is a fun thing to engage in. The benefits of blogging are many and they are just there waiting for you.

Blogs are popular ways to create an online presence for personal and business reasons. You can build a blog for free and begin posting content right away. But, what good is that content if no one is reading it. Here are ten great ideas and tactics to drive tons of traffic to your blog.

Of all the successful money making blogs on the Internet, hundreds more have failed to become successful. Running a blog is similar to running a business website. Unless you are willing to put the time in and treat it seriously, you won’t be blogging long.

That is not to say that the failed bloggers weren’t serious about blogging. Mostly, new bloggers aren’t prepared for the work that goes into creating a successful blog. Just building the blog doesn’t mean that people will necessary come to you. You pursue the audience and give them a reason to see what you have to say.

1. Fresh Content – no one wants to visit a blog day after day and see the same posts. Update your blog content at least twice a week. This will be easier if you write several posts ahead of time and upload them at the appropriate times.

2.Article Marketing – for niches that interests you and the subject of your blog. If you like it and it’s interesting, you will find you have more time for it. Always create content first for your blog but also submit to article directories and other blogs. Use the resource box to ad your link to your blog and so people can find you.

3.Web 2.0 Social Networking – these sites are everywhere. Join Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo, Twitter or a dozen others and make connections. You can join groups of other likeminded people who may also bloggers or entrepreneurs.

4.Viral Marketing – this is where you spread the word about your blog. Talk to friends, family and strangers. Give out business cards and make sure your blog address is on them.

5.Use RSS Feeds – “Really Simple Syndication.” Readers subscribe to your feed and get updated when post new content. It is an easy way for them to keep up with your blog without spending all day online.

6.Submit Blog to Search Engines – doing this allows your blog to be ranked. Google and Yahoo! are two of the most popular search engines you want to crawl your blog pages. It doesn’t guarantee top ranking, though. You’ll have to do a little more work for that.

7.Joining Forums – as a blogger you are a budding entrepreneur. Right now you are marketing yourself to find traffic and then profit. Become a member of forums, work at home forums and other forums in your niche to meet new people and share ideas. Make sure to add a link to your blog in the signature line so others can find you.

8.Visit other blogs – show your appreciation to those who visit you by also posting comments on their blogs. It is a kindness that shows others you are not just out to advertise your blog alone. Add links to your blog in your comments.

9.SEO Marketing – whatever you write, use relevant keywords. Keyword density between three percent and ten percent is best for getting high page rankings in search engines. Base your postings on keywords you research to find the most popular search terms used in the search engines for your niche.

10.Social Bookmarking – submitting posts to social bookmarking sites allows others who are members of those sites to track you back to your blog.

Putting to use the ideas will kickstart your blog into the right direction. It takes time but you will build the readership you want.

Search Engine Marketers Secret - Google Really Loves WordPress.com

April 26th, 2009

Google loves WordPress.com

This is a case study one of the top social sites to post to, WordPress.com.  Correct use of this site will help raise your search engine page ranking much higher than a lot of other social linking and social information web sites. Wow does Google love WordPress.com.  I don’t mean the blog you have at your web host or server, I mean the blogs hosted by wordpress at their site.  If you create a blog with some good information in it, it will be listed very high in page ranking. Here’s a real world example.  For Reno Modern Luxury Homes, a wordpress.com site was created as well with a blog title of Reno Luxury Modern Homes – http://renohomes.wordpress.com/. A post named Reno Modern Luxury Homes For Sale was created as well.  The user name for the site is renohomes – It’s a good idea to have your user name contain keywords as well.  If you do a search for Reno Modern Luxury Home, you’ll see that as I write this the top 2 spots are the wordpress.com tag pages for tags put on that blog.  The 3rd and 4th links are the actual site. If you do a search for Reno Modern Homes, you’ll see that the first spot is the actual site itself which is RenoModernHomes and the #2 position is the wordpress.com blog post Reno Modern Luxury Homes For Sale. Tags are incredibly important as you can see from the first Search Engine Results Page (SERP).  the first 2 listings are in fact tags that were created and put on the http://renohomes.wordpress.com blog.  The fist google listing is for the tag reno-modern-luxury-home-for-sale and the second is for the tag reno-nevada.  Variations on the searches prove fruitful as well.  Reno Luxury Contemporary Homes brings a page 1 position 1 and 2 of the tags used!  A search for Reno Luxury Homes brings a page 1 position 6 ranking. Adding a tag for the company Pavich and Associates brings a page 1 position 3 position in a google search, the first 2 are the Pavich and Associates company website.  All of this with one blog and 1 post. Just a case study from some internet marketers who discovered that Google truly loves WordPress.com

Is It Time For A Keyword Check-Up?

April 24th, 2009
Comments Off

Every person who hopes to make money with Internet Marketing knows how important keywords are. If you don’t, you can forget about being successful. Keywords are what Internet searchers type into search engines. It’s these words that our site’s need to be optimized for if we hope to earn extra money online. Without keywords, there would be no rankings and it would be hard for visitors to find our pages, and our ads!

A lot of marketers get lazy and do not check up on their keywords. Just because you had some keywords at one time that brought in traffic, doesn’t mean they will always be popular. For this reason alone, you should be checking to make sure your keywords are still relevant and will bring in traffic.

The time that any of us have to work on our websites is valuable. A lot of marketers don’t realize they’re spending time optimizing their websites for keywords that are no longer able to make money. For example, it wouldn’t do you much good to be working on keywords about Christmas in the middle of March. No one is looking to buy Christmas gifts at Easter.

Smart marketers check their keywords often because they will find new keywords that will help them make money with the Internet. Heck, just a few years ago the term Niche Marketing didn’t even exist. This is a prime example of being on the lookout for new keywords. Continually ditching old keywords that do not make money and optimizing your site for new ones that do will guarantee you income for a long time.

Also, some niches just go away while other niches change. This is another reason you want to check up on your keywords on a routine basis. You’ll make more money by continuing to add new, more valuable keywords to your list rather than keep those old dead ones around.

By following these keyword tips, you can be assured that your keywords are fresh and up to date and will bring in traffic if you optimize your site for them. Let your competition optimize their site for keywords that no longer bring in visitors!
